This website is published for Mark Mortgages. Mark works with BRX Mortgage. This page describes how this website handles personal information. It is not a statement that a regulator or BRX Mortgage has certified these practices.
Information collected
The contact dialog (form name mortgage-inquiry) asks for your first name, last name, phone number, email address, the kind of mortgage help you want, whether you are a first-time buyer when you choose Purchase, and the message you choose to write. It also records that you checked the consent box and which version of this notice you were shown.
If you are using the checklist or the journey planner, those tools do not add your notes or planning details to a form unless you turn on the sharing options in the contact dialog. Those options start unchecked. You can read the text that would be added before you submit.
Information you type into the checklist or journey planner is separate from a form submission. It stays in your browser unless you choose to include it in a message and then submit the form.
Why information is collected
Information you submit is used to reply to you, to understand the general subject of your inquiry, to communicate about the mortgage services you asked about, and to arrange a suitable follow-up.
If you want to go further with a mortgage, Mark may use what you submitted to help with that request together with BRX Mortgage, where that is appropriate and you have agreed to proceed.
Sending a message through this website is not a mortgage application. It does not authorize a credit check.
Website forms and Netlify
This website is hosted on Netlify. The contact form is processed and stored with Netlify Forms.
People who administer this website can open those submissions. If email notifications are turned on in Netlify, a notification can include what you submitted. This page does not name a particular inbox, because that destination is set in the hosting account rather than in the website code.
Netlify may process information outside Canada. Laws in those places can differ from Canadian law. This website does not claim that form submissions are stored only in Canada.
Checklist and journey information
The checklist and the journey planner let you record preparation steps, tasks, and notes on your own device.
If you turn on “Save my progress locally on this device,” a copy is kept in this browser’s local storage. It is not uploaded by that save control.
Switching language on those pages also writes a temporary copy to this browser’s session storage so your in-progress notes are not dropped during the language change. That can happen even when local save is off. Session storage is tied to this browser tab and is not the same as sending a form.
Anyone who can use the same browser profile may be able to open information saved there.
Clear saved data removes that planner’s local storage and session storage on this device and resets what you see on the page. It does not delete a form you have already submitted through Netlify.
Information sharing
Netlify hosts the site and processes the contact form.
This website does not automatically send every submission into a separate BRX system. If you ask to proceed with mortgage help, Mark may share the information you submitted with BRX Mortgage so they can assist with the services you requested.
The site does not sell personal information and does not add other recipients in its code.
Data retention
Personal information from a form is kept for as long as it is needed for the purposes above and for any legal or record-keeping duties that apply.
This page does not state a fixed number of days or months. The exact retention settings for Netlify, for notification email, and for any file held for BRX Mortgage still need to be confirmed. Submissions are not described here as being deleted automatically.
Security
Reasonable care is used to protect information submitted through the site. No website can promise that storage or transmission is perfectly secure.
This page does not claim that messages are end-to-end encrypted or that they are stored only in Canada.
Please do not send a Social Insurance Number, a banking password, full account numbers, or sensitive financial documents through this general contact form.
Privacy choices and requests
You can ask for access to information you submitted, ask for a correction, ask about retention or deletion, or withdraw consent to being contacted about that inquiry, subject to records that must be kept.
Write to mark@markmortgages.com. That is the public business email for this website. This page does not give a mailing address, and it does not describe Mark as a privacy officer appointed by BRX Mortgage.
On the checklist and the journey planner, Clear saved data removes the copy stored in this browser. It does not remove a form already sent.

Netlify provides hosting and form processing, as described above.
Hebrew pages use the Heebo typeface. Those font files are stored with this website under the SIL Open Font License. The pages do not load that typeface from Google Fonts.
Links to other sites, including BRX Mortgage, Facebook, and government pages, leave this website. Those sites have their own privacy practices.
